Chastity Abaddon, "Mistress Templar" of a notorious 19th century sect of Satanists, reportedly died at the hands of an angry mob in Martinque in 1902. Rumors circulated years later that Abaddon not only survived the incident but returned to the United States to lead a troupe of "satanic burlesque" dancers under the name Chesty Abaddon. The date of this particular advertisement is unknown.
