Blue Oyster Cult's "Imaginos" song cycle has found new life in the hands of founding member Albert Bouchard. A few years ago Albert revisited the project with the intent of finishing the story, which already spans two albums with a third on the way. I was inspired by the song "Independence Day" to create this travel poster for the fictional nation of Plutonia. I wanted a design that fully embraced the fascist trappings of Sandy Pearlman's epic lyrics for "Imaginos," but it also needed to embrace 19th century gothic art and early 20th century German expressionism. The song is AMAZING and I was pushed to do it justice. This piece was later included with Deko Entertainment's collector's set of "Imaginos 2: Bombs Over Germany."
