Commando (1985) alternate movie poster | 11x17 Art Print
Let's be brutally honest for a minute. The 1985 Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle "Commando" is as dumb a movie as has ever been made, a glorified side-scrolling shoot 'em up that exists for no other reason than to show the Austrian Oak dispense bullets and one-liners. But that's OK! Not every movie has to be "The Virgin Spring."
"Commando" was not a huge hit, coming in #21 during the same year that saw the box office for the similarly themed "Rambo: First Blood Part II" sitting at #3. But it was enough to cement Schwarzenegger's fixture as an action movie mainstay for the next 15 years.
This poster is my commentary on the film which, despite a body count nearing triple digits, didn't come anywhere NEAR the carnage of my childhood G.I, Joe adventures.
