It even feels unable to commit to its own primary color ending, which suggests that everything goes back to a "normal" we are shown that never really existed. Still, it's the Rosetta Stone for everything David Lynch would go on to do, a movie you must see to really understand his increasingly cryptic films. Blue Velvet is an amazing piece of work.
