If Bowie ever made a song as weird as "Joan Crawford" he kept it for himself. Released as part of 1981's "Fire of Unknown Origin" album, "Joan Crawford" would have been right at home on albums by The Damned or The Misfits, though neither band ever had the talent to pull off a song this complicated. It's been almost 40 years and I still have NO IDEA what this song is about ... I just know I like it.
