Dominance and Submission is prime Blue Oyster Cult, in that it's loud, aggressive, unsettling and deeply cryptic. It's recent addition to the Imaginos song cycle only muddies the waters further, so I let my emotions guide me in this design. It's a faux tabloid newspaper with many of the songs lyrics filling in headline and cutline areas. The photo of Maureen Hindley and David Smith, two witnesses in the 1960s Moors murders trial in Manchester, England, fits the tone of the song like a glove. (With acknowledgement to the work of Raymond Pettibon and Sonic Youth, of course.)
