People have been asking for my take on Blue Oyster Cult's "Godzilla," but I could never figure out a concept that wasn't just a Godzilla movie poster without some random BOC elements in it. I ultimately decided to run with the movie poster idea, in a film that pits the Lizard King against the Oyster Boys, before the third act sees them teaming up to take on a nastier opponent. Like, maybe Judas Priest and Gorgo. Think of it as an apocalyptic Pokemon movie. "Godzilla, I choose you!"
It didn't go over well.
So here's the second concept, one that maybe matches the tone of the song a bit better: A 1977 fight poster pitting the Oyster Boys against the King of the Monsters.
