Quentin Tarantino's 2002-2004 movie Kill Bill (and it's only one film, despite how it was released) was a better grindhouse movie than 2007's Grindhouse. It was a smart, literary mishmash of 1970s exploitation films, referencing everything from Bruce Lee and the notorious Thriller: A Cruel Picture, to Charlie's Angels and Lone Wolf and Cub. A movie with that much going on needed a poster with a lot going on.
