Hey, it's Nicolas Winding Refn again! I didn't plan for this to happen ... Refn was referenced on my poster for "Mirrors" and he wormed his way back into the frontal cortex for "7 Screaming Diz-Busters," potentially my favorite Blue Oyster Cult song. The plan was to go day glo psychedelic for 7SDB, a plan that took a detour into Lucio Fulci territory before crashing head first into Refn's "The Neon Demon," "Starry Eyes" by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer, and "Mandy" by Panos Cosmatos. When the idea presented itself to turn Diz-Busters into a movie, I wanted someone behind the camera who could make something weird and esoteric that was also satisfying in a narrative sense. Trying to cast this f'ker gave me a migraine, though, so I'll leave that to your imaginations. For the record, I believe "7 Screaming Diz-Busters" is part of the "Imaginos" song cycle. Fight me.
